Registration will open August 29th, 2008 with a Labor Day sale. Four days only the price will be $89.69. This is the lowest price we will offer for this event.
COST: The cost is $115. All payments must be made with pay pal at time of registration. There is no discount for members of MH3. This price was set by the Nash Hash mismanagement at a meeting in S. Dakota. If it seems pricy, consider that you do not need to fly into Madison or arrange for lodging. Note that this price does not include Thursday pub crawl. Madison hashers are welcome to use camp sites when the location is determined but you will have to pay for that.
FINANCES: A separate account has been established for NH2010. It is our intention to not use any funds from MH3 for Nash Hash 2010. If we need loans or funds from MH3, as a separate organization they will have to authorize that. (Even though everyone helping out on NH2010 will likely be a member of MH3, it is helpful to consider them separate organizations.)
COMMITTEES: First, we need committee chairs (see below). Committee chairs are responsible for recruiting additional member for that committee if needed. This is a two plus year commitment. Each committee operates autonomously but any expenses must be authorized ahead of time. Each committee will also need to arrange for additional volunteers when the time gets closer. Most commitees will be very small but they are NOT expected to do all of the work regarding that area. So...
VOLUNTEERS: Lots of volunteers will be needed. Even if you don't want to be on a committee or wanted to but did not get on your favorite one, we want and need your help! We are expecting 150 to 250 people to attend. (Thanks to all the people who have already offered to "make a small salad"... but we are talking a pretty big scale here.)
We will not offer discounts to volunteers or committe members since the intent is to not use any MH3 funds if possible and by the end of the Nash weekend, most MH3 members will probably have volunteered in some fashion or another.
Be patient. The main event is two years away. We are not solicting nor expect anyone to make commitments to hare, sit at the registration desk or drink beer in September 2010.
Send NASH HASH questions and suggestions to: nash2010@madisonh3.com or to the appropriate committee chair. We absolutely want to hear suggestions from all of you but final decisions will of course be made by the committees.
