HASH HISTORY - RUN #1540 - The Mardi Gras Run

MILKBONEHER and JERRY A' TRICK started their Mardi Gras Hash at the edge of Bockfest near Capital Brewery. There was much muddling around at the start to allow the drunken Bockfesters to catch-on to the fact that the run was starting. Due to the record snowfall and inclement conditions, the trail was marked with Mardi Gras signs and green and purple crepe paper. The trail headed east through town and around Tiedeman Pond to a hurricane check in FERGI's garage. After a considerable time there to allow the walkers and stumblers to catch-up, the trail went through FERGI's condo to her back patio for a beer check. As this was happening, FERGI arrived wearing a blonde wig and lingerie fresh from her "Running of the Blondes" competition at Bockfest. This whole scene was met with the "rolling eyes of disapproval" from FERGI's young daughter and her friends. After the beer check, a few just gave up on the trail and autohashed to the finish. The other brave runners continued on through Owen Conservancy and on to the hare's home for the On-On. After getting rides and collecting cars, hashers found plenty of beer and JERRY's FABULOUS jambalaya, beans and rice, along with King's Cake. The weather continued to turn nasty so none of the running newboots showed up and some of the hash regulars made plans to leave early. Highlights of ceremonies included down-downs for the seldom seen KUNTRINA and new boots Just ??? and Just ???, who didn't run but showed up for the On-On. The ultimate DFLs were CRACK HO and ASTI SPEW MOUNTIE who showed up late into the evening despite the winter blizzard.
