HASH HISTORY - RUN #1542 - RD Takes One for the Team
RD, with assistance from MONKEY and LIKES IT, hosted this run in Baraboo that no one else could hare. The hares mentioned that they ran into a hasher from Ann Arbor while setting trail, but whomever it was had "plans" and couldn't hash with us that particular day. The weather was much better than predicted and as hashers arrived, RD passed around a bottle of brandy to kick start the event with a small crowd of about ten including seldom seen, KELLY GIRL. Almost immediately, STROKES took the FRB lead and kept it until the first alcohol check that consisted of long island tea served from RD's van. From the tea check the trail marked with hot pink flour headed into a steep, wooded hillside area and downhill to a second beer check in a local bar. This place had a southern exposure so there was tremendous momentum to stay and drink beer in the sun. However, after a while, everyone noticed that Baraboo does not have a "no smoking" ordinance. From this point it was a comfortable jog back to Palace de RD for the On-On. RD served plenty of Point beer with his signature Senate Bean Soup with corn bread, several quiches and pumpkin and apple pie for dessert. It was kinda like the old days sitting around RD's house with about ten hashers. KELLY GIRL had to leave early and missed ceremonies, but insisted he would be back hashing soon, so lookout. After the hares, STROKES was awarded FRB, followed by hash shit for HIMALAYME for not breaking through the snow crust on the off street part of the run. The doggie style award went to HERBAWHORE, the whiner shirt went to BEARABOOBS and NUTFARMER got the RD lookalike. Things broke up early since everyone was driving back to Madison or staying with their moms in Baraboo. Thanks to RD for taking this one for the team!!!
