HASH HISTORY - HASH RUN #1611 - The "Wear Your Underpants on Your Head" Run

MEAN BEAVER hosted what we believe to be the very first "Wear Your Underpants on Your Head" run (credit to little Just Zoe for the concept) and about 20 hashers showed up with appropriate headgear. The pack included SPHINCTER GREASE, a visitor from the Waukesha Hash. The trail started at the Fitchburg Pavilion on Cheryl Parkway. While the pack was distracted waiting for the start, SHOW ME laid a fake trail leading to the Pavilion and around the circular brick path. Several hashers got caught on this "infinite loop" and had to be rescued. The actual trail headed south and eventually crossed Fish Hatchery Road and passed through some suburban shaggy. After crossing onto streets again, the trail led to the first beer check across from playground equipment in a park. No one was ambitious enough to cross the street and use the equipment though. The trail continued throughout the area and onto the bike trail. After taking the long way around the country block, the trail led to a second alcohol check consisting of Mike's Hard Lemonade located at the top of a hill overlooking the start area. Everyone headed back to their cars and on to MEAN BEAVER's house for the On-On. Everyone, that is, except SHOW ME who sneaked away and skipped the On-On to avoid the down-down for her trail sabotage. The hare served pulled pork sandwiches and plenty of beer. The highlight of the event was the awarding of actual trophies from MB's ample collection to all the down-down recipients. There were many fine awards but the best went to visitor SPHINCTER GREASE who received the trophy for the first woman finisher in (and we kid you not, this was an actual award trophy won by MEAN BEAVER) The Twilight Beaver Chase. Kinda makes you want to take up running...
