HASH HISTORY - HASH RUN #1621 -ALBERTA's Virgin Hare Run

About 25 hashers showed up for ALBERTA CLITTER's virgin hare run set with assistance from co-hare and new boot, Just Dawn. The run started at Fireman's Park in Windsor which is relatively new territory for the hash since we haven't run there in many moons. This provided the hash with everything they could want, unfamiliar small town urban streets, railroad tracks, athletic fields, lots of shiggy, two fine beer checks, an impromptu giant corn maze and, as a result, lots of confused hashers. There were several seldom seens including COCK ER RISE and ORJAZZEM on their way back to Japan, ), WIRE and FUZE (FUZE wore a giant Mallards foam cowboy hat), HERBAWHORE and PLUTO the dog who "left a little surprise" at the start of the run. The trail started on streets and railroad tracks, and soon led to a beer check at a condo near a pond. Shortly after this, the trail led to nothing but shiggy on the edge of town. After considerable tramping through this, the pack found the second beer check consisting of Mickeys Green Death and Windsor Whiskey all served deep in the shiggy. From this point, the trail headed into very tall corn with very little indication of where the actual trail was marked. Most just followed between the very long and tall rows of corn and eventually emerged on the "other side" still themselves, yet the corn somehow "changed" them in a way they could not imagine... SLOW HAND decided that it was most likely the trail did not follow the rows and neither did he. He was found later wandering around in daze. The On-On was at the Keg Tavern in Token Creek, a fine place that's kinda like the Farm Tavern north. The hares provided lot's of good food including pork, a vegetarian dish, great rice crispy brownies and plenty of beer. There was a backroom for ceremonies and almost everyone was nailed appropriately. The crowd was joined by several DFLs including HEAVE HO, Just Virginia and WORLD CLASS KNICKERS in a cutsie sort of outfit. The evening ended with ALBERTA CLITTER and HEAVE HO playing some drinking game with three bottle of beer lined up on the floor and each of them on either side of the beer... whew... way to complicated and inconvenient to have to bend over to get the beer... but all the guys watched anyway... All in all, a fine job by two virgin hares!
