HASH HISTORY - HASH RUN #1624
DRIBBLES IN started his run at LaFollette High School on the far east side of town and he was able to tom sawyer LORENA CARROT as a co-hare. The weather was wonderful and about 20 hashers gathered at the start and wondered where everyone else was. After a long wait, the hares started to get nervous about potentially missing the "pretty" part of the run due to darkness, so they ordered the pack to take off. Almost immediately a huge limousine pulled up with SHARE ME, JELLY BOOBS, JELLY BONE, WILL HO, READY, and a few others who had just come from the beer fest in Mount Horeb. They were all a little "tipsy" if you know what I mean, and they all rushed around to get in their running togs. DRIBS hurried them along and provided a shortcut so they could catch up with the main pack. JELLY and WILL HO looked fabulous as they ran in their respective little red and little blue dresses. The main trail meandered all over town, up and over the big hill, and down through the Edna Taylor reserve where the pack found NIPPLE PINCHER and her family enjoying the afternoon in the park along with a larger than usual crowd of onlookers. There were a couple of good beer checks including one just out of the reserve (and near the detox center) where there were bagpipers warming up for the Pipers in the Prairie event. (That explained the big crowd in the park.) The other was in X-Piles back yard. After that, the trail circumnavigated the golf course, allowing hashers to stop at the finish or go back to their cars. The On-On was at the FUZE and WIRE party garage where there was great food including pasta meatballs, salad and brownies, and plenty of beer. There were also some hashers who didn't do the run including FUZE and WIRE NUTZ, and seldom seens SAMORI and PUPPY. Ceremonies were conducted in typical party garage fashion and went well into the night. Everyone was awarded once or twice (or more) and no one left disappointed.
