HASH HISTORY - HASH RUN #1626 - The Fertility Run

Co-hares DIEGO and SHARE ME started their Fertility Run in downtown Brooklyn in front of a bar and about 20 hashers showed up to honor DIEGO's ability to reproduce. A few of the hashers even dressed appropriately with some good outfits depicting pregnant runners and babies. As the group milled around at the start they tried a few of Just Fred's special energy drinks along with a few beers. Eventually it became clear that DIEGO was going to carry on the HEAVY BREATHER tradition and miss his own run due to the "dueness" of the baby. EGGBEATER stepped in to set DIEGO's trail and explained to the pack that he used some "special" marks consisting of a double-stemmed arrow. If these were found, then you were ON trail. Apparently by "special" he meant they were all over the place. The pack soon split into three distinct groups heading in three different directions yet they were all ON trail. Eventually everyone regrouped for a rather long run straight out of town on an old railroad bed. At the far end of this they found a beer check and a back check. Several were suspicious that this was just an out and back trail since they found two paths of flour next to each other. The suspicions were correct! The trail was a simple out and back – one of the worse trails DIEGO has ever set. Ceremonies were conducted with left over beer check beer in SHARE ME's building downtown. It appeared she had prepared for the hash by emptying everything except for some renovation tools and a ladder. Highlights included visitor IT's TOO SOFT from Chicago, Seldom Seen COW POKEY, relative new boot Just Nels and new boots Jeanie and Melissa. The major On-On was at SHARE ME's wonderful party house where a growing crowd gathered for the big party. The hares served plenty of good lasagna and side dishes along with Just Fred's special drinks and plenty of beer. Most of the group watched Penn State beat the Badgers in another night game and then a dance party broke out in the media room with POOP EYE as DJ.
