HASH HISTORY - HASH RUN #1630 - The JELLY B's Birthday Run
It was a cool and brisk day for the 20 or so hashers who showed up for this run wearing jackets, gloves, hats etc. The hare JELLY BOOBS started her birthday run in the parking lot of the Pine Cone Restaurant just off 51 north of town. The restaurant is really a truck stop and the hare provided her pre run instructions next to what looked like an abandoned truck with a huge "Swift" logo on the side of the trailer. Was this a portent of what was to come??? One thinks... not. Someone had some old beer check beer in their car and they got it out at the start, for this was to be a trail that was best faced with a bit of liquid courage. Among the pack was second timer Just Tomash, new boot Just Caroline who found us in the Isthmus, and seldom seen JELLY BONE who claims to be the twin of JELLY BOOBS... but who believe that... I mean she's a BOOB and he's a BONE so can that happen??? After take-off, the trail headed into Token Creek Park, the site of SIN D & PUKEY's wedding. It soon led to a long back check just a short distance into the park, and onto other park trails that meander throughout the area. Along the way the pack encountered mild shaggy, heavier shiggy, wet lands, wet feet, mud and a route back onto the paved roadway. The first beer check was at a park shelter where someone also passed around a bottle of whiskey. After more of the same the reasonably short run ended back at the start and everyone headed to the On-On at SWAMP BITCH's basement. It seems like every time we end here we're all wet and muddy, and this time was no different. The hare provided lots of good stews for food and plenty of beer check beer for beer. NUT has been voiceless for a while so CO CO conducted ceremonies. Nearly everyone was awarded including the hares, Just Tomash for coming back a second time, and birthdays for the JELLY BONE and JELLY BOOBS. Eventually a rave dance party broke out in the back room band practice area with a live performance featuring HO BEAU on drums and ROAD BEATER's blues riffs.
