HASH HISTORY - HASH RUN #1634

CO-CO and the Super Secret Co-Hare - Reported by SHOW ME Thank you, Coco, for taking this open date at the last minute, even though Cowpoker, the original volunteer, backed out and left you hung... or maybe just hanging... This was a very cold, very windy day with blowing snow. That accounts for the small number of Hashers... only the true, the Brave and the Stupid showed up. We began on the East side of the Capitol square. The first two to arrive, Eggbeater and Slowhand, took off immediately for warm environs: A bar only a block away. Third-to-arrive, Show Me, had to track them down (She also was too civilized to wait at the parking lot) But the Ever-tough, brave Ah Shit stayed at the meeting place to inform the later arrivals. Soon nearly all of us were in the bar. At about 3:15, we headed back to the start to meet the Hare, Coco and others to start the run. The Ultra-secret (disguised) Co-Hare joined us later. We all guessed immediately that it was female. Because Coco seemed so solicitous toward her, many of us guessed it might be a little sister of his. Half-way through, Strokes disappeared, leaving us with the surety that he had guessed her true identity. The trail was a convoluted snarl of wind-blown and hidden marks around the square and the near State Street area. There were lots of icy stairs, bridges and some 2 sets of indoor parking lot stairs. The two beer checks, in bars, were a welcome respite from the elements. All the while, we studied the size and mannerisms of the Ultra-secret co-hare, who finally, at the second beer check, revealed herself to be our own Come Kitty Kitty. We finished in the dark, which refers to our states of mind, and also to the actual light emanating from the sky. The On-On was back at Come Kitty Kitty's apartment in the old market development on East Mifflin. The hares provided great chili and plenty of beer. Co-Co even made a small pot of his super nuke (too spicy to even look at) chili.
