HASH HISTORY - HASH RUN #1643 - The Tropical Hash
About 25 hashers showed on a sunny day for SHARE ME's and RTG's Tropical Hash that started at the water tower in Brooklyn. The sun was so bright that mud developed wherever the ground showed through the snow cover. There was much milling around of hashers with tropical drinks in their hands at the start and hashers continued to arive up until 3:30. The trail immediately headed west into winter shiggy before bending to the south and back onto streets. The pack broke into three distinct groups by this point and the first group to reach a BC at a park was warned by BURNING SENSATION that perhaps they had shortcut and missed the first alcohol check. After a moment of panic, they were all relieved to hear from SHARE ME that they were right where they should be and they had not missed anything. Eventually the other groups made it to the beer check and activity similar to what took place at the start ensued… hashers hanging out drinking as though they were at an outdoor beer garden. After a long BC, the pack took off toward downtown Brooklyn in search of the second alcohol check. It didn't take too long for them to find the shots and hot chocolate check just beyond the school grounds and appropriately enough, behind a utility hut. From here the trail headed back to the start where everyone quickly mounted up for the drive to SHARE ME's fabulous party palace for the On-On. SHARE ME always does a great job and this was no different. The hares served plenty of food and beer and just about everything else. There was a tremendous amount of activity around the hot tub grotto as ceremonies were conducted. As usual, everyone was awarded something for doing something on the run. The trail-setting hares and cooking co-hares BURNING SENSATION and UNDERTOKER were rewarded for their efforts while shiny new boot Just Jennifer was mooned again and many hashers drank to that. As the evening progressed, even more people got into the grotto and by late evening JELLY BOOBS was sporting a huge set of inflatable knockers that WCK would have envied had they not been quite so buoyant. Several brave (and by brave we mean foolish) hashers dove into the snow outside to make snow devils.
