HASH HISTORY - HASH RUN #1649
About 25 hashers including, showed up for UNDERTOKER's "not really my birthday" run on this pleasant spring afternoon. The trail started at Orton Park on the east side of town. This is a tough time and place to set trail since there is limited diversion that can be done on the isthmus when the ice is unsafe on the lakes. The trail headed west onto the downtown bike trail and through the new trail tunnels under East Washington Avenue and Johnson Street. The pack got a little confused near Tenney Park where some saw the absent SHOW ME out for a bike ride, claiming she was measuring a longer running trail. The route wound back toward the east then headed north before heading back across East Wash toward Lake Monona and very close to a possible beer check at DRIB's place. But it was not to be. The pack was really spread out by this point and about a third of the group stayed on trail as they followed the lakeshore back to the start. After waiting for a while they started making cell phone calls and UNDERTOKER appeared in his vehicle to take everyone back to a beercheck at his place on the lake. This whole group apparently ran directly through the BC mark but missed it. This was another case of UNDERTOKER having his beercheck late in the run, almost within sight of the finish. The On-On was at the Willy Street Pub and the hare had plenty of food and beer. CO-CO conducted ceremonies and everyone was awarded at least once. Highlights included a "Sex Pot" dance off between WILLHO and UNDERTOKER, welcoming new boots Just Beth brought by Mrs MAJOR STOOL, and Just Minu brought by seldom seen ORJAZZEM, and the naming of Just Gary (Mr. Just Jen) to LOOSELY CONNECTED.
