HASH HISTORY - HASH RUN #1664 - SHARE ME's 4th of July Big Bang

SHARE ME, POOP EYE, FERGIE and JELLY planned their 4th of July run to start in the Brooklyn Wildlife Area, but at the last minute, literally, changed the location to run in town. About 25 hashers eventually made their way to the newly announced start at the Sunrise Plaza shopping area on the north side of Brooklyn near the water tower. After an extensive explanation of the trail markers from POOPEYE, the pack headed west across some undeveloped land before launching into shiggy, then onto trails that came out at the edge of a corn field. After crossing the field, the trail took to village streets and led to the first beer check on a side street. After the beer check there was a little more urban shiggy and more streets. Along the way the pack found a woman mowing her lawn with a riding mower the included a beer holder. After some hash appropriate photos, the pack moved further along the trail that passed through the Mt. Hope Cemetery before heading to the second beer check at the municipal park on the south side of town where there have been beer checks before. The weather was fine so no one moved too quickly to finish their beer. Eventually everyone made it back to the start and they all headed to SHARE ME's for the highly anticipated 4th of July On-On. The hares provided plenty of great food prepared by FERGIE and others, along with just enough beer. The On-On was held in the big garage so as not to scare away other guests. After toasting the hares, the usual awards were handed out along with recognizing a hash visitor from the San Francisco Hash and IT's TOO SOFT from Chicago. There was a gaggle of seldom seens and DFLs who showed up just for the party including CRACK HO, ASTI SPEW, KRACKASHOWA, MILK BONEHER, JERRY ASSTRICK and others, and it might have been FERGIE's, ASTI's and COCK SHOP's birthdays... oh... and STROKES was SCB. By the end of ceremonies other guests were streaming for the highly anticipated party. Just Fred the bartender was once again on duty and the grotto hot tub was steaming with flesh, but as darkness fell everyone headed to the back 40 for the best private fireworks show ever!!! Then the Alex Wilson Band tuned up and played a tremendous dance set or two as the crowd mingled around the bonfire. Eventually the music ended, many headed to their tents and things settled down a bit. But the shenanigans lasted long into the night as the hash night crew came on duty and headed to the hot tub. After even more drinking some say that if they looked carefully through the steam and fog, they could almost see those naked virgins as promised in the run announcement. You know it's a great party when at least a half dozen people couldn't find their pants in the morning. Thanks to SHARE ME for another great event!!!
